Equipment/Facilities
CRG Industries operates from two manufacturing locations comprising approximately 2,400m² plus yard areas. We are currently acquiring an additional manufacturing building to accommodate larger part sizes and quantities. We also have facilities and equipment for composite lay-up, painting, and machining.

Current production equipment relevant to syntactic fabrication includes the following:

• Four large walk-in ovens, including one oven 12m in length
• Mixers to accommodate sample sizes and large batch mixing
• Automated microballoon handling system
• Vacuum chamber and vacuum pumps
• Autoclave
• Associated molds
• Overhead cranes and lifting equipment

Our sister company, CRG, provides the engineering and testing infrastructure for CRG Industries’ projects. CRG operates in almost 7,500 square meters of laboratory and office space on three campuses in Dayton, Ohio. CRG conducts development in many varying work areas: Processing, System Design, Optics, Composite Development, Manufacturing Technology, as well as a Clean Room.

The Processing Area supports development of new materials and processes, providing laboratory benches equipped with vacuum stations, isotherm and humidity-controlled ovens, a thermal-cycling chamber (–40°C to +250°C), and specialized equipment. The System Design Area provides the physical and analytic infrastructure for developing custom electronic and mechanical devices, full-scale application systems, processing systems, and project-unique characterization apparatus.

The Composite Development Area provides lay-up equipment and supplies for fabricating custom components using a broad array of standard and specialty reinforcements, resins, and processes. The Manufacturing Technology Area provides custom and industrial fabrication equipment for developing production techniques exploiting CRG's advanced materials and processes.
